Same-sex marriage.

I do not think that same-sex marriage will become legal in Singapore.
Some examples why the government would not legalize same-sex marriage is because of the low fertility rate in Singapore. Having an all-time low of <1.5 fertility rate, Singapore needs to have more younger generations. High literacy rates are one of the reasons resulting in low fertility rate, so what high literacy rates, people would think that same-sex marriage are naturally wrong and should not be legalized, and since people were not planning to even marry people of the opposite sex why would they marry people of the same-sex? Having problems like this would high literacy rates would put Singapore into a shock state when same-sex marriage are legalized because Singaporeans do not have high birth rates nor marriage rates, so having same-sex marriage legalized, the rates would be low and it would be useless to have it legalized then. Also by having same-sex marriage legalized, there would be a difference in the number of people available for marriage in one sex or the other, causing an unbalance. Another example would be that Singaporeans would not be supporting the idea of same-sex marriage because of them complaining over foreigners coming to Singapore already. By having those complains, Singaporeans would not be tolerant against same-sex marriage because of the influence it might bring to the younger generations or investors coming into Singapore. Furthermore, some religion considered same-sex marriage as a sin and Singapore is a multi-racial country, there would be other people from other religion and they would probably show discrimination against people who are involved in same-sex marriage, causing in prejudice between religion, mistrust and hate between people in the society and the government would mostly not legalize same-sex marriage in Singapore because of the likeliness of riots happening again, mostly between religion when people of a religion is involved with same-sex marriage and thus people of their religion would be against the government for legalizing same-sex marriage thus I feel that same-sex marriage will not become legal in Singapore unlike the rest of the government did 6 other states in America.
